This November, our passionate team of dentists, assistants, hygienists, and front desk staff came together to continue our annual tradition of offering a free day of dentistry for adults in Weatherford. Our drive to support our community isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we do. Read on to learn more about how our Beacon of Hope Free Dentistry Day went in 2023!
What is Beacon of Hope Free Dentistry Day?
Our team didn’t go into the dental field to rush patients in and out of the doors and only take big, complex cases. We love what we do, and our practice exists because of the support of our patients and the Weatherford community. To show how much we value our community members, we offer a free day of dentistry every year, where patients can show up to get a much-needed cleaning, filling for a tooth that has been bothering them, or even an extraction, all at no cost to them.
Breaking Down Our Impact
While the line started forming as early as seven in the morning this year, our team was well-prepared with snacks, water, and a seamless system to make sure we saw as many patients as possible. With over 81 patients treated and 113 procedures completed, we’re proud of our impact, and we better understand how important this tradition is to our community!
Our Commitment to Supporting Weatherford
The American Dental Association published that over 22% of people don’t have any dental insurance. To put that number into perspective, that’s about 68.5 million adults! To that end, just under half of Texan adults have been to the dentist within the past year. Over this time, cavities, toothaches, and serious oral concerns can develop, or plaque and tartar can accumulate in hard-to-reach areas.
We want to support our uninsured and underinsured community members, and our solution to these alarming numbers was to start Beacon of Hope Free Dentistry Day 11 years ago, and we’ve been doing it ever since! We hope to carry on this legacy and continue showing our commitment to supporting and giving back to our wonderful community.

At Beacon Dentistry of Weatherford, our kind team has been an integral and trusted part of the area for over 25 years.
