Intraoral Cameras

During a dental exam, you’re probably wondering exactly what the dentist sees and whether or not the treatment the they recommend is actually needed or not. If you are someone who’s often skeptical of needing treatment until you can see the issue up-close, you’ll find the Mouthwatch Intraoral Camera to be incredibly beneficial to your next visit. This technology comes equipped with a small camera, which is housed inside of a small handheld device. Following the exam, we can show you high-resolution images of your oral structures on a nearby monitor for closer examination.

3D Cone Beam Imaging

While digital X-rays help us capture many detailed images of your oral structures, they aren’t ideal for every single treatment. With the help of our 3D Cone Beam Imaging device, the iCat Precise, we can capture a 3D cross-section of your current mouth and jaw. What is this image for, you may ask? It’s actually meant to improve treatment planning for dental implants, root canal therapy, tooth extractions, TMJ analysis, and other treatments that require highly detailed information to complete.

All-Digital X-Rays

X-rays of the past were time-consuming and even potentially harmful as they required the use of chemicals to create. Today, our dental office has gone fully digital, making it much easier to collect detailed images of your mouth, jaw, and bone tissue that would normally be invisible to the naked eye. In just a few minutes, we’ll collect multiple X-rays of your mouth, then point out any issues that we believe you need to address.

Digital Impression System

Have you ever needed a dental crown created to cover a damaged tooth? What about an athletic mouthguard or nightguard to protect your smile while you played sports or slept? Our digital impression scanners makes it easy to capture hundreds of images of your teeth in a matter of minutes, then send these images to an advanced software we use to create your crown, oral appliance, or other restoration that you need, all without taking old-fashioned goopy impressions.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Certain treatments can be difficult to complete, especially when they involve sensitive parts of your mouth. For example, advanced gum disease can cause gum tissue to become infected, putting your smile at risk. With the soft tissue laser from Picasso, we can not only make your periodontal therapy far more comfortable, but we can actually conserve more of your healthy gum tissue in the process and minimize the post-op symptoms associated with your care. We can use it to really decrease the duration and severity of cold sores too!
